Hello Awesome People!
As you might know, every two announcements we like to remind everyone that FaceRig is still in development. Before purchasing FaceRig, please read this announcement carefully.
It's recommended that you read the EULA (as you should do with any software you buy and/or use.) Please make sure to also check the minimal requirements and remember that for now FaceRig is Windows-only, and that the mobile/low voltage versions of the listed CPU's and GPU's typically have less performance than their desktop counterparts.
One last thing before proceeding to the news update!

In preparation for Valentine's Day, we've updated our "nextversion" branch to v0.968b. This update contains, among other things, some lovely new free content designed specially for this holiday.
We'll have a Valentine's Day themed event(s) running next week so stay tuned to see how you can win FaceRig goodies for your significant other or yourself!
We've also added Yvonne, our Sci-Fi temptress! This avatar is free for anyone who owns FaceRig and will be downloaded automatically with the update. If you don't remember her, here's a short reminder from our previous announcement ;)

- fixed video karaoke occasional crash
- fixed tongue issue on replay performance and export as movie. Previously to this update, the tongue on some avatars would exit the mouth and it was not intended.
- fixed reset and reload lighting issue. Previously, the lighting would occasionally be off position whenn resetting to defaults or loading background customization.
- fixed avatar position while in replay issue. The avatar initial position in a replay was not being saved properly.

- added free Valentine's Day themed new items:
- Valentine's Day and Valentine's Hearts dynamic backgrounds
- three new accessories: Cupid's Arrow, Heart Shaped Glasses and Valentine's Day Balloon
A few important open issues:
- After exporting a webm movie from a pre-recorded performance, the application still needs to be reset (as the webcam feed freezes.)
- There's a flashing light that occasionally appears on DirectX11 when changing backgrounds.
- Trying to load a .midi file into the Karaoke player might result in FaceRig crashing.
If you are wondering about how to use the "nextversion" branch here are the steps:
- Open Steam Client. Go to Library -> Software
- Right mouse click on FaceRig -> Properties
- Go to BETAS tab, click in the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" drop down, select "nextversion"
- Close window. The FaceRig program will update to the "nextversion" branch.
