Release Candidate live on "nextversion"

Hello Awesome Folks,

We've updated the "nextversion" branch and the first release candidate version of FaceRig is now live! If all goes well, the default branch will receive this update in the following days and we'll be ready to exit Early Access on July 7.

Below you can read the full change log for FaceRig v1.0rc (build 574 Holotech Studios - July 1 2015):

  • fixed default camera issue. The default input camera was erroneously set to FaceRig Virtual Cam on first run. - this issue was causing users to see a black or no webcam feed when loading up FaceRig if they didn't manually pick their real webcam from the advanced UI ->General Settings->Devices tab.
  • random recording start issue solved
  • background selection issue solved
  • added frame blending to export movie. Frame blending is a feature that averages a set of rendered subframes into a single exported one to add a cinematic effect to the motion. This can be customized with the frame blending quality drop down list.
  • default outgoing sound feed delay set to 0.05 seconds
  • optimized export movie to run faster
  • fixed webcam feed calibration image ratio issue
  • save and load performance browse file window shows the correct title now
  • reverted ULSee version to 1.0 to address the high CPU load issue reported by users. CPU load was high when no face was detected in the webcam feed.
  • background issues regarding the PiP mode solved
  • fixed eye positioning in pose avatar
  • sound loopback was automatically activated when a video karaoke was played. We disabled that, users should go to General Options > Sounds tab to activate it.
  • various fixes to karaoke avi and mp3 playback
  • launcher config.usc issues fixed, some options would have been left out and FaceRig would have started with defaults
  • removed Save Video from Karaoke panel
  • fixed custom props loading; all custom props should now load properly and be displayed in their tab
  • Added Custom Model Import Wizard ( a tool for modders). This should help modders as it provides a lot more transparency, control and feedback for the entire import process. You can find this tool in [FaceRigInstallFolder]/Bin/Tools/Importwizard/ . You can read up about it by opening the docs from [FaceRigInstallFolder]/Bin/Tools/Importwizard/Documentation/

Log into the "nextversion" branch and help us rule out the last bugs before launch! The power is yours :D

If you're still wondering how to connect to the super not-so-secret "nextversion" branch:
