Hello Awesome Folks!
Here is the Change log for FaceRig v0.924b that just went live on the nextversion branch:).
- added inertia (physics) bones support for community created avatars
- updated Community Avatars and Props documentation
- improved tongue on several avatars (Santa, Esera, Alya, etc)
- optimizations to video feed, gained about 20% performance on CPU . Should be noticeable on both Dx9 and DX11 (though more on Dx11)
- filtered resolution lists from General Options > Preferences tab and Export Movie to add values supported by current screen resolution. Before this update, you could have chosen a resolution larger than the screen and this would have created two major issues:
- right side menus disappeared
- exported movie resolution would be capped to the screen one, with the 16:9 aspect
- modified FaceRig Virtual Cam to broadcast by default at 30 fps (before it was 25).
Dx11 support is still experimental, but it has less and less glitches with each iteration :D
The v0.921b build version (with Santa and the other winter holidays themed avatars) has just been promoted to the default beta branch, for everyone to enjoy.
If you want to re- read its full change-long you can find it in the previous patch announcement : http://steamcommunity.com/games/274920/announcements/detail/210872121383859074
We need your help testing this version some more as this is most likely the version that we will have on the "live" branch until early January (no updates will occur from the end of this week to early January) . If there are any major problems with it, we need to figure them out, together, ASAP, so we can make sure that you can entertain (or troll) your friends or family over the holidays with at little trouble as possible :)
18'th of December edit : We have performed two more updates on the "nextversion" branch.
Change log FaceRig v0.925b nextversion branch
- added color customization support for the Santa (and Santa without the hat) Custom skin
- there have been reports of crashes related to the lipsync module of FaceRig. We haven't been successful in reproducing the issue, but as a temporary measure we have added a bypass of the crash. If something goes wrong, it will throw a skip-able error, FaceRig will run (it will not crash) but sound driven animations will not work.
Change log FaceRig v0.926b - nextversion branch
- there have been reports of FaceRig Virtual Cam stream color tinting. We are still investigating this issue (it is likely it's video adapter/driver version dependent), but have added a work around in this update: There is a "Stream Color Swap" check-box in the General Options > Preferences tab, that you can use if you experience the color tinting.
- minor texture tweaking on various avatars
If you are wondering about how to use the "nextversion" branch here are the steps:
- Open Steam Client. Go to Library -> Software
- Right mouse click on FaceRig -> Properties
- Go to BETAS tab, click in the "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" drop down, select "nextversion"
- Close window. The FaceRig program will update to the "nextversion" branch.
We wish you an awesome week,
The FaceRig Team
