Greetings Legendary Defenders of Ithaca!
First and foremost, a huge thank you from us to you all for playing Arachne's Trial, and for the amazing feedback that you've given us.
We've been going over everything that you've all written and have prepared an update for the game. With this update, we'll be introducing new features, addressing various issues, and generally improving the gaming experience.
Main Changes
- New Graphical Options: Vsync can be toggled on and off, and you can now limit the frame rate of the game.
- Spider's Level Balance: Many people have commented about the balancing of the spider levels, as such we have gone over the balancing to make them a bit easier, without diminishing the fun.
- Prologue Achievements: As the achievement system that we have has had multiple issues, from bugs to general enjoyability, we have removed all but two achievements for the prologue; the first for defeating Ajax and the second for defeating Arachne.
- Audio Enhancement: Video volume will now dynamically adjust according to the global volume settings.
User Interface Changes
- Feedback Button: The feedback button will now only be displayed in the menu, not in multiple pop-ups as before.
Gamepad Bug Fixes
- Fix a crash when attempting to use the mouse when in the in-game encyclopedia.
- Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when swapping items during the tutorial,
- Fixed a bug that caused two selection cursors to simultaneously appear in the army scene.
- Fixed a crash that triggered when entering an area to play, followed by quicking visiting various in-game pages. (This would cause the gamepad to freeze, making it impossible to press anything else).
General Bug Fixes
- Cavalry: Cavalry units will now always be the topmost unit, previously the cavalry would sometimes appear beneath enemy units.
- Locked Army Price Spoiler: Fixed a bug where clicking on a locked army could spoil the price.
Once again, thank you to everyone for reporting the issues. Please know that we are fully aware that there are other issues that still need fixing, so see this as the first of many updates.
