Welcome to our first Dev Log, with the adjustments made in November and December after the BGS event and the feedbacks we got there. We will try to post new devlogs after each main updates we make in the game, so stay tuned ;)
Main changes
The entire tutorial with the game's initial narrative has been implemented, where the Pajé guides Araribóia after he has to flee his village. The menu pop-up tutorials and some of the game's functions have also been implemented.
Readjustment of calculations and functions to balance combat. With the new function, the damage and resistance of the spirits are now more balanced, without spirits having too much life and defense on one end and too much damage on the other with a one-hit KO.
Feedback system in combat: Now, when selecting a skill, the game already shows the resistance and weaknesses of each spirit. This speeds up combat without having to memorize and keep opening the Spirit Info screen to see this information.
Minor adjustments:
- Revised the village screens now with each one having its respective character with dialog interactions. The characters are: Estácio de Sá, Pajé, Caipora, and Father Anchieta.
- The illustrations for the meetings have been redone.
- Implemented some temporary tracks to help immerse you in the setting.
- Some updates to the UI to improve usability.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that switched the position of spirits in battle thus crashing combat in some cases.
- Adjusted all movement functions that were giving problems.
- Adjusted the skill upgrade conflict that was crashing on the upgrade screen.
