Hi everyone!
The free Long Trip VR Demo is almost ready!
This weekend, I’m opening the gates to the latest build for the final public playtest before the Demo launches.
Test Period
Friday, August 7, 12:00 AM – Monday, August 10, 11:59 PM (ET)
SteamVR Playtest + Meta Quest Playtest
What’s Included
This short pre-release test includes the content planned for the free Demo:
Explore The Dust, your skyship home.
Return to Dwarven Cave.
Explore Fata Sand and face the Sand Worm.
Mount and fly a dragon.
Assault BlackBay Fortress.
Chase The Glorious Dawn.
And yes—the wolf 🐺 is still there, waiting for you.
Take a look at the BlackBay Fortress:
How to Send Feedback
You can report bugs and share suggestions at any time during the playtest:
• Press Y to open the in-game UI.
• Open the Settings panel.
• Select Feedback to submit your feedback while the game is paused.
There is also a Feedback window available from the Main Menu.
I’m especially looking for feedback on:
• Dragon flight controls and motion comfort
• VR performance
• Onboarding and pacing
• Bugs or unclear objectives
• Any suggestions that could help improve the Demo
Development Build
Although this playtest includes the planned Demo content, it is still a development build. Long Trip VR is still being polished, so gameplay, balance, visuals, performance, and other details may change before the Demo launches.
Save Data
The Playtest and the free Demo use separate builds.
Save data from previous playtests will not carry over, and progress made during this playtest will not carry into the free Demo. Please treat all progress during this preview as temporary.
Thank you for helping me polish Long Trip VR before the free Demo launches.
If you enjoy the journey, please wishlist Long Trip VR on Steam.
