We carefully analyze statistics and feedback to create an engaging game that meets your expectations, and we are now ready to share with you our plans for further improving Age of Water and news about fixes that have been implemented recently.
Battle Mechanics and Weapon Balance
Many players prefer using cannons in the game, so we've decided to slightly reduce their stats for the sake of balance. We want other weapons in the game to be in demand as well. For example, we believe that machine guns should become more effective, as well as grenade launchers and shotguns. Additionally, we plan to rework the energy consumption of weapons in the game.
In the latest updates, we have already reduced the recoil that hulls received from enemy hits. However, their scope still shakes when the player is hit: many have complained about the inconvenience caused by it, and we plan to balance this aspect in the game.
More Convenient Map Navigation
The current map navigation system does not always provide convenient orientation, although we have worked on improving it in recent updates, especially for gamepads. Nevertheless, we have decided to make additional changes.
We want players to find necessary resources or locations more easily, so we need to make the map more readable and informative. We will add various icons for different resources and objects (e.g., mines or loot on the water surface) to provide a clearer and more diverse display of various game elements on the map.
Events and Battles
We continue to monitor cases where enemies may not spawn or quest items may be missing in specified locations. We will keep fixing these types of errors.
There are several variations of top-tier "battles" in the game. We want to make them more diverse and interesting: add more challenging opponents, slightly increase the duration of such battles to make playing both solo and in a squad more enjoyable.
We will also add the option to disable notifications about the start of PvP events to prevent these messages from distracting players from completing tasks.
Economy and Loot
We have already rebalanced the cost of some buildings in the base and will continue to work in this direction. It may be necessary to reduce the amount of resources required for construction. We also plan to change the cost of crafting at the base, but this will require further analysis of how these changes will impact the economy.
Currently, there is an imbalance in obtaining medallions in PvP missions like "Convoy" and "Mangrove Pearl”. Therefore, we are reviewing the reward system to ensure balance.
By the way, we have increased the loot pickup radius for top rank ships to simplify the resource collection for more experienced players who need much more loot than beginners.
Bug Fixes
We are making efforts to fix bugs that occur in the game. Some players report that sometimes the item crafting process can get stuck, and after restarting the game, the item remains uncrafted, but resources are still spent. Over the past few updates, we have fixed similar issues, so if you are still facing such problems, please let us know and provide as much information as possible.
