Update #10 - Don't Die On Me! - August 30, 2014

Hi fellow Survivors,
I have returned with a new update!

Have you ever wished that you could have a chance to rescue a "dying" survivor during battle? I know that feeling when suddenly your favorite character gets overwhelmed by zeds and bites the dust, it's a mix of sadness, shock, and frustration! I personally love that part of the game, but I want to give players better gameplay experience and make it less punishing.

PERFORMING CPR

Now, there is a chance to redeem your mistakes! You can now send your survivors to revive downed teammates! Even so, I don't want to make it too easy...you'll only have 15 seconds to get to your survivor and perform CPR before he/she permanently dies. And folks, CPR will take some time. You must plan your moves or you could be sending more survivors to the graves.

PERKS
Another feature that has been implemented is Perks. Well, it's not done yet, we are still working on it. Even so, we've implemented our first Perk! Cop characters can now reload while moving. This could be useful in getting out from tight situations. Expect more Perks in the future!

MORE STUFF & PLANNED CHANGES
Our update doesn't stop there! We've also made a lot of bug fixes and tweaks. Also, here are our plans for the next update:

  • Gears - We are working on adding more Gear types, currently we are laying down the ground works for the system.
  • Active & Passive Perks - With the basics of the perk system implemented, expect more active and passive perks/skills in the future.
  • Healing & Medikit - I will be removing the ability to heal using coins during combat. Healing will only be available at the basecamp/hq in between missions. You can still heal during combat if you have a Medikit equipped or your character has a perk that allows healing.

KICKSTARTER
Last but not least, I'm thinking of doing a crowd funding campaign through Kickstarter. The reason behind this is so that the team and I could hire an extra programmer that could help speed up development, add more content, and more features (we could even raise funds to add multiplayer into the game), and raise awareness/marketing. Not only that, you could benefit from it too! We could give you extra copies, merchandise, and other stuff at a discounted price, while also giving options for people to get more involved with the development (such as perks to design your own characters, design your own team, bosses, enemies, etc). However, before we go on with this idea, I would like to know what you think and get your feedback. Please leave a comment below!

Thank you for being patient with us and the game's development.
I'll see you again in 2 weeks with more updates!
