- In-game local video file playback. It's automatic right now. Turn off libretro_previews if you don't want it.
- Added a new console variable "libretro_previews", default 1. Toggle the use of libretro on/off.
- Fixed the extra delay when launching other Source engine games.
- Fixed XBMC mutli-room playback (for XBMC users).
- Eyecons are finally fixed now (hopefully).
- Added the "cores" folder to the aarcade directory. Place your libretro cores there if you wish to use in-game emulation.
- This build has support for the following cores: snes, nes, and genesis.
- An XBox controller is the only supported controller in this build for in-game emulation.
- Any shortcut of a supported "type" that has an existing file location will automatically load with libretro in the appropriate core for in-game emulation.
- While in-game emulation is active, your XBox controller controls the libretro app.
- When in-game emulation is deactivated, your XBox controller goes back to normal AArcade controls.
- There is no sound for in-game emulation in this build and libretro emulators are not yet configurable through AArcade.
- The "START" button on the controller is overloaded. Instead of pressing it twice each time, you can use the keyboard ENTER button as START for libretro apps.
No emulators are packaged with Anarchy Arcade. If you want to use in-game emulator support, you have to drop your libretro cores into your aarcade/cores folder.
Libretro is an active project that is being updated every day. Even if this is your 1st time hearing about libretro, you can get AArcade's libretro support up and running in no time!
- Go to http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/win-x86/
- Sort the list by Last Modified.
- Download the newest _cores.zip
- Extract the cores you wish to use into your aarcade/cores folder:
- snes9x_next_libretro.dll
- nestopia_libretro.dll
- genesis_plus_gx_libretro.dll
- Restart Anarchy Arcade.
FYI, it's safe to just copy ALL of the cores from the _cores.zip file into your aarcade/cores folder, even though only a few of them will actually get used.
