Steam Workshop: Phase I
This client update has the first phase of the Steam Workshop implementation ready to use in it. This was a huge update and required a LOT of work to get everything ready, but alas, after 2 very long weeks, Steam Workshop is finally here! Here is an explination of what is in this phase, and what will be in future updates:
Phase I
- Only basic workshop features.
- Subscribe/unsubscribe to items using the Steam Workshop.
- All subscribed addons are automatically activated.
- To deactivate an item, unsubscribe and restart AArcade.
- 100% built-in workshop publishing tool.
- Middle-click on an item you want to share, and click Publish to pack it.
- Pack as many items as you want into your addon.
- Only ENTIRE ITEMS can be packed in Phase I.
NOTE: Phase I only allows ENTIRE ITEMS to be packed. Basically when you pack an entire item, other people will see it exactly as you do when they spawn it. You can pack as many items as you want, but remember not to violate the Steam Workshop Terms of Service with what you publish or it will be taken down.
Phase II (coming soon)
- Ability to pack addon cabinets for others to use.
- Ability to pack entire arcade saves so other people can explore your arcades in Singleplayer.
- Ability to pack custom made maps.
- Multiplayer workshop integration.
