Client Update 10/18/2015

  • Added beta versions of the following new maps: oververse, meta_hood. (NOW WORKS!)
  • Renamed "Nodes" to "Metaverse Nodes" to better represent their community aspect.
  • Revamped the Metaverse Nodes menus for inspecting, saving, and loading nodes.
  • Added available workshop nodes to the Load Metaverse Node menu.
  • Added the ability to spawn workshop nodes you don't have yet. They are immidately downloaded and spawned once they are ready.
  • Inlucded an alternate copy of the aarcade folder so you can safely experiment with stuff without messing up your primary library & saves.
  • Added the AArcade.exe launch option -game aarcadetest. When used, an alternate version of the aarcade folder is used and no workshop content is automatically mounted. Note that you'll have to create a manual shortcut to AArcade.exe to use this launch option.
  • Fixed the thumbs up/down voting buttons for workshop items in the Manage Addons menu.
  • Added the ability to enable/disable workshop items without unsubscribing from them.
  • Changed the Manage Addons menu to reflect the new workshop enable/disable system.
  • Fixed an issue that caused node objects to be non-colidable the first time they were spawned.
  • Fixed an issue that caused node objects to take a very long time to spawn.
  • Added the boolean console command "keepscore 0". When set to 1, the score of your arcade will not be calculated, which makes things faster on very large arcades.
  • Added a default fade distance for all objects.
  • Added the console variable "fade_dist" to control the default distance at which objects fade.
  • Added a shorter fade distance for node objects.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause 2 instances of nodes to be spawned ontop of each other.
  • Fixed various timeouts and "loopback" issues in very large arcades.

Note 1: Remember there is a SKIP TUTORIAL button on the very bottom right corner of the screen if you get prompted to do it again.

Note 2: If you have large screens in your arcade that are too far away to be visible with the new prop fading system, you can adjust the fade distance with the console variable: fade_dist. Soon this option will be added to the in-game Arcade Options menu as well.

Note 3: This update is the precursor for the Halloween update that will put user-generated content in the spotlight with the improved "Metaverse Node" features and meta maps. Expect another update within a couple weeks that polishes up all of the new features that you see here.
