This is a special update. The next time that you launch AArcade: Redux, it will take a little bit longer than you're used to as it updates your AArcade library with fixes.
It only needs to apply the fixes once. After that, it'll start up fast like usual.
It automatically makes a backup of AArcade's library.db in case anything goes wrong. But just be patient as it applies the fixes and it'll be all good.
Change Log:
- Added a library updater so BETA users do **not** lose what they've built prior to this update.
- New UI template on the following menus: Starting Up, Main Menu, Edit Object, Edit Item, Addons Menu, Embedded Apps, and the Import Menu. (Soon to be added to the rest of the menus too!)
- Improved startup sequence & progress bars.
- Improved error & debug checking during workshop initialization.
- Added Automatically Set Game Name to the Broadcast Mode options.
- Added "Game Name" to the Broadcast Mode options.
- Fixed an issue that made spaces not work in various fields of the options menu.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Broadcast Mode from outputting to the correct folder.
- Fixed Lappy (Elite Laptop) cabinet to be part of the default library.
- Fixed Flatscreen TV cabinet to be part of the default library.
- Fixed an issue that often resulted in large numbers of missing objects, items, or models, **especially** from Legacy mode or workshop saves. (See Note.)
- Fixed an issue that caused the Room Divider & Newton Toy props to be listed as cabinets instead.
- Improved Legacy Export to give the option of overwriting duplicates, improved its support for custom type names, retain legacy "group" names as "keywords", and retain the use of preview URLs on models.
- Added the "aarcade_user/backups" folder where auto-backups of the user's library.db gets saved to before major maintenance operations.
NOTE
If your saves exported from Legacy Mode were missing large amounts of objects, or your custom type names were not exporting, you'll want to do these 2 things to fix it:
1. Launch Redux Mode once first, so it fixes up your library.db.
2. Close it & go export from Legacy Mode again.
3. Make sure that you tell it to overwrite existing duplicates for your instances!
Please be aware that re-exporting your legacy saves like this will revert any changes you've made to them in Redux.
Thank you for your patients as I work to get legacy content all fixed up!
UPDATE
This morning's update had a broken main menu. At 11:41am Pacific time I pushed a hotfix that resolves the issue. Your startup sequence & main menu should work as expected now.
