Hi everyone, Jay and team here!
THE SEASONING UPDATE IS FINALLY HERE!
Thank you so much for your patience -- the update that all of us have been waiting for is here!
Our team has spent the past few weeks refining and improving SEDAP! to bring you a new and improved game experience. This update tackles key player feedback received since its release in May, introducing four major highlights: an in-game map, selectable difficulty modes, new Charms, and the Bestiary!
Also, along with the update, we’ve added Steam community items! Collect trading cards, badges, profile backgrounds, and emoticons when you play SEDAP! on Steam.
Without further ado, here are the (very looong) patch notes for v1.1.
The Seasoning Update (v1.1)
For a quick overview of this update, you may watch this 2-minute video.
Highlights
In-Game Map
The new in-game map helps players with navigating larger levels -- a quick toggle shows an aerial view of the level, denoting player locations, and ingredient spawns with respawn timers.
Toggle the map on and off any time during a level by using "Tab" for keyboard controls, and "Left Shoulder/LB" for controllers. For local multiplayer players using a shared keyboard, the toggle button would be "V" and "," (default controls).
Herb Mode/Spice Mode
For players who prefer a more casual experience, Herb Mode is a new difficulty setting in the game, where damage taken, monster HP, dish freshness and order timing depletions are greatly reduced.
Players can toggle between the two modes at the start of the game, and in the game’s settings while in the Camp.
However, please note that you will only be able to earn Pink Stars in Spice Mode, the game’s standard difficulty.
Four New Charms
Refresh your adventure with four brand new Charms and an increased Charm carry limit!
Jade Earrings: Player attacks will no longer be interrupted by incoming attacks.
Unlocked after beating 02-03
Five Stones: Prevents Combo Streak from expiring.
Unlocked after beating 02-07
Yadom: Slows the rate of food going bad by 25%.
Unlocked after beating 02-SP
Kerosang: Grants a 2x Combo Streak at the start of the level.
Unlocked after beating 03-SP
The Bestiary
The Bestiary is a new chapter of the Makanomicon featuring brand new artwork, names, and detailed descriptions of the Monsters you’ll encounter.
Just like dishes, Bestiary pages unlock only after encountering the monsters.
Patch Notes
Important Notice
Please note that with the addition of the in-game map toggle and certain input-related bug fixes, keyboard and controller re-bindings have been reset to default to prevent overlapping bindings. We're sorry for any inconvenience!
