Since we announced Scott Pilgrim EX back in June, we’ve loved watching everyone speculate about who the rest of the seven playable characters might be. Well, it wouldn’t be Scott Pilgrim EX if we didn’t bring a few of our favorite exes into the fray, right?
Roxie Richter and Lucas Lee are the first to join Scott Pilgrim and Ramona Flowers as playable characters in this new beat ‘em up brawler coming in 2026!
🎬Lucas takes a break from Hollywood stardom to lay the smack down on any baddies standing in his way, with grappling prowess and a fully-weaponized skateboard (meaning he hits people with it).
🥷Roxie meanwhile brings her signature sword-slicing and dicing into the fray as a quick-hitting, speedy half-ninja, with a kit complete with smoke bombs and moves that turn her into a blender on the battlefield.
Watch Roxie and Lucas mop the floor with some of the goons who have laid claim to Toronto in the new character reveal trailer:
Hands-On at Gamescom 2025!
We showed off Lucas and Roxie for the first time during Gamescom 2025, where the press got hands-on with a new playable demo and the early return has been pretty great so far:
"Scott Pilgrim EX is shaping up to be a fitting continuation of the series while bringing in enough fresh ideas to make me want to dive back in and see all it has to offer. It is fun, colourful and impressively smooth."
- Brendan Frye, CGMagazine
"Scott Pilgrim EX seems like a snappy and modern beat 'em up with a surprisingly open design."
- Lexi Luddy, Shacknews
"Thirty minutes wasn't enough to see just how wide Scott Pilgrim EX goes, but what I've already seen has me excited at the prospects."
- Wesley LeBlanc, Game Informer
Seeing this kind of reaction makes us feel like we’re headed in the right direction, and we’re not stopping here!
