This week’s Oni Memo focuses on the Formidable Foe, Dokyo. Dokyo is a mad scientist obsessed with creating new Genma in an underground laboratory in Kyoto. In fact, she is the only character who speaks in the Kyoto dialect. Unlike other Genma, she possesses an intellectual yet eerie presence, while also exuding a certain allure—making her a truly distinctive character in the game.
Another feature we’d like you to pay special attention to is her fingertips. One of her defining traits is the way she wraps red thread around her fingers, weaving it as if playing cat’s cradle. This thread may even play a role in combat or special mechanics...?! We hope you’re looking forward to it!
