New Features
- New Feature: Legendary Crafting
- Crafters who craft weapons and gear that are level 70 and higher will now be able to participate in legendary crafting.
- As a player crafts normal weapons and armor, they will become more proficient in their skill with that exact recipe.
- A players ability to craft a recipe will be represented by ranks. Rank one is will be rather easy to obtain, but getting all the way to rank 5 will take effort.
- As a player progresses through recipe ranks, they will begin to craft better items that contain boosts to the items basic stats, boosting things like health, armor, elemental damage, elemental protection, and more.
- At rank 5, a crafter will have a chance to create a legendary item, which can randomly be one of 9 versions for weapons, or one or 4 versions for garb (including hat, gloves, boots, belt, and outfit). Some versions will have different stat boosts, and some are better than others, but all legendary items will have all of their feats, spells, and proficiencies boosted by an entire rank.
- Work diligently by yourself, mastering recipes for your class, or work with others and swap items as you become proficient in recipes. Will you have what it takes to create the ultimate gear?
- New Feature: Item Salvaging
- Players can now salvage refined ingredients from weapons and armor.
- Head to Ardent City and find the Salvaging Rod Vendor to find a Salvaging Rod that is useful for your level range.
- Functioning similar to how Repair Kits work, hold the Salvaging Rod over the item you wish to deconstruct. Your character will perform the salvaging, the base item will be destroyed, and you will gain some refined ingredients.
- The type and quantity of items salvaged will vary depending on item level and quality, with crafted items producing more than items found in the world.
- Each Salvaging Rod contains 100 charges, so carry one along on your adventures to help keep your inventory clean, and get a few extra refined ingredients at the same time.
- Inventory Quality of Life Improvements:
- We have added inventory sorting. Players can select which bags to be sorted to have all items in the selected bags put in a nice organized manner.
- We have added a "sell gems" button to all vendors. This will sell all of the gems in your bags to the vendor in one click.
- The sounds while moving items around in the inventory have been improved.
- New Feature: Elite Crafting Quests
- Many players enjoy that crafting is a difficult task that requires a character to put the work in to become a master at their skills. While we enjoy this aspect as well, we wanted to make crafting a little more accessible early game so players have a better chance to test the waters before their combat level is too far above crafting.
- We have made crafting much easier from levels 1-40. All skills require a much smaller amount of Xp to level up until about level 42-43.
- At level 40 in a crafting skill, an Elite crafting quest will open up. This quest will be challenging, but reward the player with a boost that permanently increases XP gains in a specific crafting skill by 50%.
- The elite crafting quests will be a marker in the players life, noting when the 'easy waters' of crafting stop, and the challenging end game crafting begins.
- Node depletion has been removed (mostly)
- We have made one final tweak to gathering based on the feedback we have been hearing from the players. We have removed node depletion (with one exception). Instead tools will now wear down faster, and when your tool is broken you can no longer gather (this will prevent botters).
- However, now, while gathering, special repair consumables will 'pop' out of the gathering node. These little globs will not get picked up by auto gather, but must be manually picked up. Players should see them anywhere from every 2-3 minutes (so it is by no means a lot of extra clicking). Picking a globule up will repair your tool, so you can keep on gathering. As long as you are picking up most of the repair globs, you will be able to gather for several hours (without having to rezone to repair tools and replenish nodes)
- The only exception is legacy item shop gathering tools (golden tools) since these items can never break down, they will still use the node depletion with the same balanced numbers as before.
- Death Recap
- The death window will now explain about the last few attacks that damaged you, follwed by what the killing blow was. This will include the monsters name, what type of attack, how much damage, if it was a critical strike, and what element of damage it was. The hope is that this will help give players bit more information so they can better prepare themselves and understand base game mechanics.
Improvements
- XP Balancing
- We have made some XP table balancing in preparation for new content
- Combat XP: levels 35-55 have been lowered. Levels 55-65 then smoothly readjust back to regular amount. Levels 1-34 and 66-75 are unchanged.
- Village XP (Ranching and Gardening): Values from 45-65 were lowered slightly.
- Crafting XP: Values from levels 10 to 40 have been lowered substantially in preparation for level 40 elite crafting quests.
- Gathering XP: Values from 10 to 40 mirror the crafting changes. Charter Adjustments:
- Non-combat charters have had their combat XP reduced to match reduced XP tables.
- Guard charters had their combat XP lowered slightly to match reduced XP tables.
- Parts charters level 75 and above will now require less parts, but also require the player to travel to a zone, killing 1-2 monsters that match the part they are collecting.
- Parts charters have had their combat XP boosted slightly Pyrron Changes
- Golden Chests of Pyrron, obtain from the dragons of the Deep earth, no longer contain class rings.
- The Arcane Rift is no longer required to complete the Pyrrus story line. The Rift still exists and the bosses are still within, however they no longer drop special monster parts and they no longer require heroes to have specific elder gear.
