Pompeii: The Legacy – Final Next Fest Demo Is Now Live!
The time has come – the Next Fest demo for Pompeii: The Legacy is now live!
Whether you played the earlier playtest or you’re just now discovering the game, this final version of the demo gives you a much deeper look into what I’ve been working on over the past months.
What’s New Since the Playtest?
I’ve added and improved a lot since the early version. Here's what's new:
🔹 Fully Playable Sandbox Mode
You can now build without restrictions, shaping your city however you want.
🔹 Trade System Enabled
Set up trade routes, manage your ships, and exchange resources with other Roman cities.
🔹 Expanded Research Tree
A significantly larger tech tree is now available, allowing for deeper development paths.
🔹 New Social Research Branch
Unlock privileges and societal upgrades that affect your citizens and city's direction.
🔹 New Buildings & Decorations
A range of new production buildings and visual decorations have been added.
🔹 Improved Hand-Painted Map
The world map now features updated visuals and better detail.
During the course of Next Fest, I’ll be releasing at least two major updates for the demo, each introducing new features, improvements, and content. I’ll also be paying close attention to your feedback, suggestions, and critiques, because they truly help shape Pompeii: The Legacy into something better with every step. Your voice matters, and I want this game to grow into something we’ll all be proud of.
Thank you so much for the support. If you enjoy the demo, please consider wishlisting the game, it really helps me as a solo developer.
Pompeii: The Legacy is just getting started. I hope you enjoy what’s here, and what’s coming next!
