Patch Notes v0.9019
Hey guys, sorry about the long time between updates, but we’ve got a pretty big update this time around. We’re back at full strength here and making progress in several areas of the Casino.
Hotel Room!
We’ve added a hotel room which can be accessed by using the elevator to the right of the Casino entrance. Keep in mind this hotel room is in a VERY EARLY state. The lights are not correct, and it is NOT optimized, so we expect performance to be poor.
- You can join your friends in a hotel room by using the friends menu.
- Hotel rooms are currently limited to 8 users at once.
- If you try and join a hotel room that’s full a small warning message will appear in the top right.
- If the owner of the hotel room leaves, other users should be removed from the hotel room. Please report any bugs related to the hotel room using our bug reporting feature!
Lighting
We’ve updated a lot of the underlying mechanics for our lighting system within the Casino. This is good because it will allow us more power and flexibility in the future, but currently the lights look a little bit off.
- Casino is a bit darker than we intended
- Some 2D art (UI, 2D Games) may appear washed out or off-color. Please report these as you see them using our bug reporting feature.
- This color problem particularly affects the Wardrobe. We’re in the process of further updating our tools, so the lighting and will change moving forward.
Friends
- The friends menu is implemented and should more or less be feature complete. Please try joining your friends and accepting friend requests using the menu system.
- Invite functionality currently just tells you that someone wants you to go to them. In the future we will have a way to accept invites directly.
- Friend requests just pop up a message dialogue which has to be dismissed. In the future we’ll have a dialogue where you can directly accept the request, but for now you’ll have to use the friends menu.
Other Notes
- We fixed an error in timekeeping, so events should work again!
- Fixed a bug where users using the map to go to VIP would sometimes fall through the world.
- The menu should frame your avatar now when opening.
- Some controller fixes.
- Various behind the scenes server fixes.
- Mouse cursor will now be hidden when rotating your character using the right-mouse-button.
Known Issues
- Known issue: Things are way too transparent now, making it difficult to read chat and other dialogue boxes.
- Stats display in roulette is currently broken
