Hello adventurers,
It’s been almost a year since dwarves first piled into Trainfort for our Alpha Playtest. We’ve spent that time rebuilding large parts of the game and hitting some of the less cooperative parts with hammers until they worked better. Now, it’s finally time to break our radio silence!
We’ve just shown a new trailer during tinyBuild Connect — take a peek:
And if it makes you want to gather your bearded mates and hit the road, sign-ups are now open for our next playtest!
So, What Changed?
The Alpha showed us which parts worked and which needed to go back to the workshop. Since then, we’ve changed nearly every part of the game. The controls may feel familiar, but pretty much everything around them has changed. That includes:
Redesigned UI and a new way of interacting with machines
Reworked opening and progression systems
New areas to explore
Visual improvements across the world
More buildings and items to craft
Better balancing and performance
If you missed the Alpha, don’t worry — you won’t be starting behind everyone else. Returning dwarf nomads will have plenty to figure out too, so this is a good time to jump in whether you’ve played before or not.
We’re still finishing and testing a few things, so we can’t give you an exact date yet. We expect to announce it within the next few weeks.
Until then, watch the new trailer, sign up for the playtest, and start deciding which friend you trust to help build the camp, and which one is keeping the zombies busy.
See you on the road!
