This is a preview of the notes for build 0.95, scheduled for release March 12th, 2014.
Infinity Wars is dedicated to improving the quality, stability, and playability of the game. While we are yet in an early beta with a lot of work ahead of us, our players and community have been invaluable in shaping the evolution of Digital TCG's alongside myself and our amazing tiny group of talented developers and passionate staff.
Without you, none of this would exist. So join Lightmare Studios in celebrating each and every step we take moving forward as we move ever closer to finishing the game with each patch and each hotfix we put into the game.
It will take time, it will take dedication, but above all else it will take the patience and eagerness to see the game improve that we know all of you grant us. Thank you for being a part of our Beta.
The following features and fixes are scheduled to be applied to the live server in this build.
A much improved chat interface which is much more optimized and easier to use. The new chat interface is ubiquitous to every part of the game, so players can now chat as easily in game as out of it.
A whole new Quest system. The new Quest system gives players rewards based on accomplishing various quests in the game, giving them immediate and long term goals.
Titles. Players can now earn titles through the new Quest system, which they can then show off to other players.
Medals. Various quests now award medals to players, which are shown off to other players to show off their accomplishments.
A new profile screen. The new profile screen follows the new design that we are redoing all the old menus with. It contains all your quest progress and shows you which quests you have to complete still. It also shows all the medals you have acquired.
A new loading screen. The new loading screen shows the name, title and avatars of both you and your opponent and also shows any medals.
Card Alterations
For the next patch, we're looking at a couple of cards in Infestation whose power level is not quite where we'd like them to be. The following cards are currently under review:
Aether Acolyte: We feel that this card's power level is too high, and allows for plays that are far too aggressive for Verore, which should be one of the slowest factions. We are looking at retuning the numbers so that it fills the role of a built-up late game finisher, rather than a hyper-aggressive card.
Ritual Master: While we like this card's design, it is currently so strong that it warps the entire Exiles faction to being about this card. Furthermore, its ability to constantly give itself health quickly takes it out of range to be dealt with, giving very little counter-play to the card. Ritual Master will no longer buff himself.
Uncontrolled Rift: This card is mostly seen in combination with Aether Acolyte and Verore Magic Siphoner, and is much more highly competitive card than was ever intended. Even with the weakening of Aether Acolyte, we are looking at raising the cost of Uncontrolled Rift, lest it merely find its way into overpowering more decks.
Flame Dawn Fanatic: We currently feel this card is very underwhelming for a 3 purity card, with stats that are simply too low to be appealing.
Demoralize: We are looking at tweaking this card to deal slightly more morale damage, as currently 8 morale damage is too low to close out game that's been brought down to very low morale.
Infested Drone: Triggering Infested Drone's ability, especially for Genesis, has proven to be so easy that the card feels straight up more efficient than Knight of the Flame Dawn, which is not something we want in the Genesis faction. We'll be looking at minor tweaks to the numbers of this card.
Bug Fixes

- Infected Purifier should correctly become undead on transformation
- Zomborg's splash ability correctly hits battlefield now, instead of in play

- Swarmers should have consume functioning correctly
- Swarmers' display text shouldn't bug out anymore for increases/losses from Brutal Swarmer
- Swarmers effects no longer apply in command zone
- Cyber Infested Dragon no longer leaves play if it dies in command (formerly token spawning wasn't occuring (correctly) although it was still getting removed from play (incorrectly))
- Dead Feaster keeps stats when dead

General Notes
- There is currently a rather common glitch known as the Endless Turn. There is no way to anticipate this occurring, there is no way to prevent this from occurring, there is no way to fix the problem once it has occurred.
We are very much so dedicated to breaking this bug, it is one of our highest priorities right now, but we need your help to do so.
When you are in a match and the game does not progress when the timer hits 00:00 you are affected by this glitch. The very second you see this happen DO NOT restart your client, but do the following:
(For Steam Users)
Right click IW in your library on steam, hit properties - local files - browse local files - open Infinity Wars_TCG Data
(For Windows Users)
Right click the desktop icon for IW, hit properties, open file location, locate Infinity Wars_TCG Data
(For Mac Users)
Open up the Finder and search for Infinity Wars. Open that up and locate Updater.log (And replace the below instructions for an output log with the updater.log).
Make a copy of Output_Log.txt and attach it in an e-mail to [email protected] with a brief description of the problem.
If you are in a Rift Run and you lose a match due to this glitch and would like a refund of your IP, simply e-mail [email protected] with a statement regarding this and a request of a refund for this glitch. Be aware we ARE going to check your game log to ensure that no one is simply requesting IP without being affected by the glitch.
- Another, less common glitch, is the Combat Freeze. Where two cards go into combat and the game hangs on that animation and the cards don't leave the center of your screen. Please follow the above instructions to get me an output/updater log with a description of the scenario so that we can use that information to break the glitch.
- The Purity problem with Hybrid Commanders in Rift Runs still exist. Please do not select a Hybrid card as a commander when drafting your deck in Rift Runs to avoid complications until it is fixed.
We appreciate everyones assistance in helping us test and fix problems that are of this scale, it's plaguing a lot of users and we're doing all we can to break it.
Thank you everyone! See you on the battlefield.
