Although they are not required to play, these two pieces of hardware will fundamentally improve your game play experience. As a new player there's a lot to absorb so having voice comms (Discord) running with veteran soldiers will make you better understand all of the elements at play.
The game does offer text based communications and basic mouse + keyboard controllers, however you will have a serious competitive edge if you have these things first.
Our game runs Discord primarily for game communications, so even if you don't have a Microphone you can join up there and listen to everything else going on and be part of the fight in a much bigger way. Seriously, get on voice comms, otherwise you'll miss out on a lot in terms of immersion and teamwork.
Air Combat most specifically is very hard to do with a mouse and keyboard, and since we're a bit simulation like you can imagine how that would go (possible, but not easy).
Your local electronics store(s) should have these items. This is just a courtesy heads up to give you a little time to prepare.
Steam release is not far away, we are testing the Steam release candidate organically (our current customer base / Non-Steam) right now to iron out any last minute kinks prior to launch day.
HANG IN THERE FOLKS! We know you're restless, we're trying to make your first experience a lot better.
Salute!
