Raiders, welcome to Patch 0.8.278.
As you can see from the cover, this patch is particularly important to us because it coincides with Games in Italy, Steam’s event dedicated to Italian video game production. We are very happy to participate for the first time with Hell Galaxy in this important showcase for our project.
In this patch you will find localization in new languages and several changes to the Alters area, which we have completely reworked.
What’s Changed
Localization
This update introduces support for German, Spanish, and French.
New Alters Area
We have redesigned the level layout of the search zones to make them more readable and easier to navigate, removing the environmental noise present in the first version. We have expanded the Colonial Perimeter to bring it more in line with Limbo and with the narrative, adjusting the placement of collectible items to make it more consistent with the environmental storytelling. We have increased the visibility of Repulsors, the devices that protect you from the Alters, and revised both their number and placement to make the quest more navigable without reducing its tension. We have added enemies to make the quest more dynamic and introduced new loot to better balance your raiding experience in such a dangerous area. We have given Alters-possessed raiders an additional combat ability to make them more threatening. We have also rewritten several dialogues, introducing the voices of Alters-possessed raiders.
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that caused incorrect text to appear on some items.
Looking Ahead
In upcoming updates, alongside new locations, you will find new combat gameplay involving capital ships, a new enemy type we introduced in the last dev diary and are continuing to refine to deliver the best possible experience. We are also continuing to work on optimization, which we will discuss in future updates.
