This update focuses on the release of chapter 6 and some quality of life improvements.
Changes
Chapter 6 is available, up to and including most of the Intermission sequence.
Targetting restrictions in combat have been removed. It is now possible to heal an enemy or damage an ally. (This is to simplify new combat mechanics included with the major new combat zone, the Void Round.)
New item types have been added to simplify the purpose of ways of learning new abilities:
Runes are now only intended to be socketed into gear temporarily to learn abilities (as it was before).
(New) Tablets are a socketable item with with strong abilities that cannot be permanently learned. They must be kept socketed.
(New) Scrolls are a usable item with with strong abilities or character-specific techs. They must be used on a party member to teach them its ability.
Certain UI transitions, such as the party overview screen and popups, have been made easier on the eyes.
Experimental Features
Added "Use-Wide-Combat-Menus" config setting, allowing the combat UI to use an experimental double-wide ability and item list.
Added "Draw-Party-Leader-Hidden-Outline" config setting, allowing the game to draw an outline on the party leader when hidden by level geometry.
Added "Use-Fighter-Focus" config setting, allowing the combat UI to zoom in on a party member during their turn.
These new options can currently only be changed in "config.user". This file is located near the Twin Gods Saved Games folder, which can be seen in the game's console by pressing ~ (tilde) on game startup.
