New Test Build 0.990b: Modding Fixes

I've just finished uploading new test beta 0.990b, which fixes several issues found in the mod-loading system, as well as a few minor "vanilla game" bugs.

The build is available to anyone who owns the beta at bluebottlegames.com, or on Desura and Steam. Desura (and therefore, Groupees) users can use Desura Connect to gain access here, or even get their Steam keys and try it on Steam.

To access the test build on the official site, simply visit the beta page, and click any of the download links below the usual Windows, Mac, and Linux buttons.

Steam users can access the test build by opting into the beta for it.

Updates Included in the Test Beta

Test beta 0.990b includes the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug in the remapper that caused intra-mod dependencies to fail, due to loading order.
  • Fixed bug that caused recipe scraps to sometimes fail to load.
  • Fixed a bug that caused mods to remap ingredients incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused encounter triggers to happen on wrong hex types.
  • Fixed a bug that caused music to never fade out when options screen has non-100% music volume.

The big update here is the fix to the mod-loading and ID remapping system. In 0.988b/0.989b, there was a problem which caused the mod loading code to ignore some data types. New items could be added, for example, but they couldn't refer to new conditions, attack modes, etc.

This new version fixes that issue, and it should now be possible to create new data in those categories.

I also found and fixed two minor issues in the vanilla game involving recipe scraps and music not fading out.

As always, let me know what you think of the changes, and if you notice any issues with the new build!
