Hey everyone, long time no see!
There has been a prolonged time of radio silence after the release of the first visual novel by Audune Games in 2023, and I've been hopping between awesome new game concept and side projects ever since. However, after a year of developing, Audune Games is finally ready to announce Wesley Smith's Repair Game, its second major game set to release in 2025!

What is the game about?
In Wesley Smith's Repair Game you'll join self-declared blacksmith Wesley on his journey of collecting items and repairing weapons to show off his blacksmith skills. But if you already happen to have the weapons, you can use them for other things too, like getting rid of your annoying friends!
Compete against the merciless bots or up to three friends in this couch co-op adventure of collecting items, crafting weapons and defeating your opponents! Chop off their body parts with a chainsaw, burn them to ash with a flamethrower, vacuum away their remains with a vacuum cleaner, or turn to the dark side with a light sword! With a selection of 12 characters with unique bonuses, three mind-blowing game modes and 12 diverse arenas, Wesley Smith's Repair Game is guaranteed to be frustratingly fun!
How did the game came to life?
Wesley Smith's Repair Game came into existence as a small multiplayer prototype made in one weekend, where I worked on the design together with my cousin Wesley. He often takes on the alter ego "Wesley Smith", a self-proclaimed blacksmith who pretends to give tips to repair weapons in videos and podcasts, and so we dedicated this prototype to this character and branded the game to be his own "Repair Game". During the development Wesley also provided the Dutch voice overs for the game.
This arcade game is a step in a different direction than the "immersive narrative games" that Audune Games aims to make. Rest assured, there are still plenty of new stories I want to tell through immersive games in the future, and Wesley Smith's Repair Game is a great learning experience to lay the foundation of technical skills for these other projects! Alongside the game I developed several open source Unity packages that can be re-used for any other project in the future!
Don't be disappointed though, because Audune Games wouldn't live up to its name if there were no fairies involved in this new game! Lilith from Invisible Wings: Chapter One makes an appearance in Wesley Smith's Repair Game, alongside new fairy friends and other fabulous looking characters, some from other shelved projects.
Play the demo this month at the Steam Next Fest!
During the upcoming Steam Next Fest, from Oct 14 until Oct 21, Audune Games will release a demo for Wesley Smith's Repair Game to give you all an impression of what's to come next year, and to give everyone the opportunity to give constructive feedback!
The demo will feature the whole gameplay loop, but will be stripped down in content from the full release. Once the full game releases, the demo will remain available for folks to see if they like the game before buying the product.
More information on the demo and what to expect from the full release in the future will be posted during the Steam Next Fest. See you there!
