This update is set to go live Wednesday, March 11th at 8:30 AM PT. This update will not require a new client download.
General Updates
Special Flight Pass Event: We have brand new choice-based opportunities launching with the upcoming First Light Flight Pass. We’ve created 2 new case types: Ability & Mod Cases. When you collect one of these nodes in the flight pass, you will be given up to 3 random options based on your hangar for you to choose from. Developer Note: If you do not have any mods/abilities available you will receive silver instead.
Alongside this, we’ve updated our reward tracks with even more Silver + Universal Parts than ever before. Not just that, but this “Draw 3 Pick 1” system will appear for every opportunity you would receive an ability/mod drop from a specially-marked FL crate. This season is all about giving you more control on the things you earn, and where your upgrades go. Enjoy!
First Light Flight Pass: Speaking of the flight pass, this new one will go live on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at 9:00 AM PST. Make sure to grab yours at http://playmetalstorm.com/shop so your squadmates can gain access to bonus Silver, and so you can net yourself some Star Points to boot!
New Login Event: For the duration of the First Light Flight Pass, login daily to claim some bonus rewards. In the same spirit of choice this season, these rewards include Silver + Universal Parts to help give you a boost towards whatever upgrade(s) you desire!
Exclusive Matcherino Cosmetics: We’re kicking off our partnership with Matcherino to bring you brand new exclusive in-game cosmetic opportunities. Matcherino, for those unaware, is a tournament platform where you create and join Metalstorm events. Play for fun, earn your stripes, and win some cash/prizes.
These uniquely-themed cosmetics will be released on a monthly cadence, but if you act fast - they’ll be available for a discount during their launch. As a reminder, each purchase directly contributes to Metalstorm tournament prize pools. The first of these items (pilot icon) goes live this Friday, March 13th. Find out more at https://matcherino.com/p/metalstorm/events. Developer Note: Limited variant winners icon only available through winning participating Metalstorm events. Good luck, have fun!
