Hello again! I really should have a name for you all, shouldn't I? Settlers? Eh, whatever.
Clarity is important! And as it turns out, trying to figure out how the game works without it actually telling you is pretty rough.
This patch should help a lot with onboarding; it explains how the game's basics actually work (using WORDS) and hopefully clears up some confusion about Quests in particular.
I'll still be looking at the new player experience after this! I'd hate to turn away players just because they aren't lucking into figuring out how things work.
Next up, I want to add a wardrobe that lets you save and load outfits for your little avatar. This felt more important, though.
Changes in v1.1:
TUTORIALS:
-The first card you get is now a basic tutorial! It explains how the game loop works (in english).
-The main menu now has a help button that re-opens the tutorial card. You can toggle this button off in the options menu if it's looking too patronizing.
-The tutorial card that explains time now includes a page about quests.
-The previously-first card should now be given by an NPC after the inn is placed.
QUESTS:
-Quests now say "CLOSED" instead of "EDITING" when not open, for better conveyance.
-The anteater mailman now lowers his arm and leaves ASAP after you take what he has for you. He's got places to be!
ALSO:
-Added several new adventurer cosmetics!
-Stealth-nerfed an item. You won't notice it.
