Steam Workshop support coming soon!

We are pleased to announce the addition of Steam Workshop support to Take On Mars. This means users will be able to create content such as custom locations, vehicles, scenarios, models, textures, and so on. Locations can be incorporated into the Space Program, thus increasing the replay-ability ten-fold.

Although the workshop support will be added to the main branch early next week (10th Sept. 2013), it is available today in the development branch, accessed via Properties->Betas->Development (ignore the password input).

To help everyone get started, we have also created an example addon, featuring an example location that has a few missions and gets incorporated into the Space Program mode, a scenario where you race a Buggy on the example location, and the Buggy itself, a vehicle that has a few variants, including a machine gun and heavy caliber cannon, jsut to show what is possible with Take On Mars (worry not, we are not planning on turning it into violent exploration!).
