Hey everyone,
As we reach the halfway point in development, the game has evolved significantly from its original concept. What began as a series of escape rooms has grown into a much deeper, narrative-driven experience.
The original title, "Escape from Ivy & Piper," no longer reflects the core of the game.
Effective immediately, the new title is "Trapped with Ivy & Piper."
You will see all logos and promotional materials have now been updated to reflect this change. Please note: the in-game title itself will be updated in the next version release, scheduled in about two weeks.
This wasn't a decision made lightly, but it's the right one for the project. The new title is a much better fit for three key reasons:
It reflects the gameplay. The core experience is about being stuck in a situation with the characters, not actively escaping a room.
It's literal. The game begins with the main character physically trapped in a chair.
It's thematic. It hints at the deeper story, where Ivy and Piper are also emotionally "trapped" in their own lives.
I wanted to share the reasoning for this change with you directly.
