Oh my days! It's been a full year since Trash Goblin launched into Early Access, and we're so amazed by the journey so far. There's plenty more excitement to come, but first up to celebrate, we're announcing our Official Trash Goblin Merchandise Kickstarter! 🥳
Featuring a delightful range of perfectly cosy merchandise straight from the world of Trash Goblin 🤩
We've partnered with the brilliant Mighty Merch to deliver the items so you can be sure they'll be premium as all heck ✨
GET INVOLVED
Have your say - we've got some great ideas for merch - too many perhaps - so we need your help to let us know what we should do for this first run! The first vote is happening right now in the discord so hop over and make sure your voice is heard!
We will be unveiling even more juicy details soon, and in the meantime, look forward to the campaign itself running some time very early in 2026! 📆
Register your interest in the Kickstarter here so you'll be the first to know when it goes live, and tell your friends! 💖
ONE YEAR OLD
That's right, a whole 365 days since we first opened our cosy little goblin shop! And look how far we've come:
Not to tease, but 1.3 and 1.4 and our biggest updates yet and we can't wait to show the details. Know that 1.3 is coming very soon indeed...
GOBLIN SCIENCE-FACTS
Originally appearing on Steam Early Access on November 6th, 2024 before our 1.0 launch on May 29th 2025, we've sold more than 60k copies and right now I'm ecstatic to be able to say we have a ‘Very Positive’ rating across over 900 reviews - with 100% of Steam player reviews in the past 30 days being positive on top of that! Truly amazing stuff that speaks to the talent of the whole team, and it also highlights you, our loving and enthusiastic community 💖
In that time:
We've hit nearly a quarter of a million wishlists (with 179k outstanding!)
Nearly 5,000 of you have played for more than 20 hours.
In fact, you goblins have spent a cumulative total of 376,501 hours playing
That’s 15.5k days, or 43 years - the same age as the game's creative director, he writes reluctantly
At that rate, we estimate 4.5 million trinkets have been found so far!
The average time played is nearly 8 hrs
Our most committed goblin devoted 404 hours to their trinket restoration career (that’s over two weeks in real-time!)
The longest time played before a review was left was 271hrs
The longest playtime of a goblin who left a negative review was 160hrs. They reviewed it after 10hrs, then played for another 150hrs so... they couldn’t have been that dissatisfied eh?
THANK YOU
So once again from the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Your support from the first days of our announcement, the demo, the original Kickstarter all the way through the amazing Early Access launch and onwards to today, we couldn't have done it without you!
