While Wound Man is currently featured in the Steam Summer Sale, I wanted to take a moment to show you that I’m hard at work preparing the next update — one that expands both the gameplay and the educational value of the game.
In the next version, each level will reward the player not only with strange secrets and hidden manuscripts, but also with something more tangible and lasting: knowledge.
📜 What’s Coming:
Unlockable Manuscripts — Each level will now grant access to a manuscript archive tied to the anatomical image you've just explored.
High-Resolution Originals — View the historical medical illustrations behind the level in beautiful detail, along with related works.
Interactive Annotation Mode — Toggle an overlay that labels key anatomical features, objects, and curiosities, with pop-up facts and historical context.
This new layer adds depth for players curious about the real history behind the game's unsettling imagery — or anyone who just wants to learn a little more about historical surgical manuals and the artists who made them.
