Trans Neuronica 0.4.8 Changelog
New Features:
- Level selection
- 15 new levels (including a new boss stage)
- New prompt appears after clearing a stage asking whether to continue or stay
- New prompt appears before section relocking happens, showing preview of the consequences and giving the option to cancel it
- Greedy path erasing mode (enabled by default) that does not require moving along a path to remove it
- Story was adjusted to new level selection and new boss being available
- A button to reset the story appears on the title screen once the main campaign is completed to allow exploring different branches of the narrative
Improvements:
- Hud was reworked to make it less annoying to use
- Background movement has been reduced and steadied to make it less nauseating
- Different window animation effect
- Some levels were updated to prevent unintended solutions or cheesing
- Terminology changes: Remove (in the context of removing paths) is now called Erase
- Terminology changes: Modules and Components (as referring to ingame levels) are now called Stages
- Terminology changes: Power Cells are now called Electrodes
- Logging game session to file was added to improve debugging
- Logos across the game appear in high resolution
Accessibility:
- Background brightness and animation speed is now customizable
- Boss timer can be slowed down and disabled
- Toggle draw mode, where pressing the relevant key will toggle between drawing/erasing being enabled or not
- Node disconnected visual effect is calmer and less nauseating
Bug Fixes:
- Phantom windows no longer should appear when alt-tabbing from the game
- Bare modifier keys are no longer mappable, making it possible to map actions to bigger variety of special characters
- Key presses are now registered even if they are released before a single frame passes
- When a section relock causes single tile paths to remain they are now automatically removed
- Various small issues with focus not behaving intuitively in menus when using keyboard/gamepad were fixed
- It should no longer be possible to have two buttons appear as focused by using keyboard/gamepad and slightly nudging the mouse
- Fixed incorrect XBox button name from "Ch. View" to "View"
