Dear players,
Greetings to all!
We are excited to announce a significant update for 2D Dogfight, introducing the manual radar lock function.
In previous versions of the game, when the aircraft's radar detected multiple targets, the radar automatically assigned a suitable target for each radar-guided missile launched. However, in certain situations, the automatically assigned targets may not align with the player's intended targets. Therefore, we have implemented the manual radar lock function, allowing players to manually assign targets for their missiles using the radar lock.

By pressing the X key (default keybinding, customizable in the settings), the radar will lock onto the enemy aircraft with the smallest angle relative to the aircraft's nose. The radar lock is indicated by a white border around the radar indicator arrow (green arrow) pointing to the locked target. All missiles launched by the player will track this locked target. The radar lock requires the target to be within the range and detection capabilities of the onboard radar. If the target flies outside this detection range, the radar lock will be released, and the white border around the radar indicator arrow will disappear. Additionally, the use of chaff by the target may also cause the radar lock to be released.

Not every situation calls for manual radar lock. For instance, when the player intends to simultaneously engage multiple targets with multiple missiles, we recommend either pressing X to release the lock on the previously locked target or not locking any target from the beginning, allowing the radar's automatic assignment to handle multi-target engagement. Otherwise, all missiles will fly towards the one target you have manually locked.
This update also includes the following:
1. Fixed a bug in multiplayer mode where initial speed and fuel were incorrect in certain cases.
2. Added relevant content about manual radar lock to the tutorial.
3. Implemented a new font for in-game text, addressing font display issues experienced by some players in certain language clients.
We appreciate your support for the game! We will continue striving to provide an enhanced gaming experience for all.
