Update 0.6.6.

Commanders!

In order to enhance combat efficiency of the Allied Armed Forces, you can now appoint battle-tested generals to command your infantry, aircraft, and tank units. George S. Patton, Henry H. Arnold, Bernard Law Montgomery and other prominent officers will now lead your glorious army to victory over the German aggressors.

In addition, the High Command of Nival stated the completion of massive rebalancing measures. Now, operational characteristics of vehicles are reproduced with the highest historical accuracy.

Important note: our French and German users may have problems with localization. To be able to read descriptions of Generals, please select English language in the Main Menu. We will fix this bug within a short period of time

Added Cologne, a new historical mission for the Allies.
The player must clear the city of the German forces still remaining after extended bombardment. The battle is set against the background of the beautiful Cologne Cathedral under continuous missile artillery fire. We have also added English and German voiceovers to some missions.

Generals added.
All players have now access to a default General, a General of Tanks, a General of Infantry, and a General of Aircraft. Each military leader has excellent skills that improve the stats of both individual units and all detachments under his command. For example, the US Air Force under "Hap" Arnold's command cooperates well with ground forces and can prove its worth in offensive combat, while Montgomery can form ground vehicles and defensive fortifications into a steel first, making your base an impregnable fortress. We should note that the Strategic and Deluxe Editions include exclusive Generals. When in combat, Generals gain experience, which is required for them to level up. Levelling up a General improves the stats that he provides to his units and unlocks new types of tactical support.

The balance of all units has been completely revised to reflect historical reality.
All units' stats and performance characteristics are now closer to their historical values. This revision applies not only to vehicles but to infantry units as well. For example, Soviet infantry have received an extra unit, while US infantry has had one unit removed.

Players now have access to two extra bases belonging to other factions, which they can upgrade in parallel with their main one.
If you want to go to a different base, select the corresponding item in the Esc menu. When one of the bases is selected, all others become "frozen," i.e. they cannot be attacked or get any resources.

Matchmaking changes.
Over the last month, all players were earning their rating. Now this will be the main factor that influences matchmaking. The matchmaking system will also take into account the player's base development level.

Added trenches.
We have added to the game the option to dig trenches and place an infantry squad inside. When in a trench, infantry take less damage. You can take infantry out of a trench at any moment and send them into combat. Enemy trenches can be taken if you kill the enemies inside them.

Chat changes.
The chat design has been changed to be less intrusive and more ergonomic.

New living creatures.
There are new living beings on some maps, including animals enjoying every minute of their existence.

Sniper girls.
Now all Soviet sniper squads include two beautiful girls ready to destroy enemy personnel at the drop of a hat.

Soldiers with AT rifles.
Soviet anti-tank infantry now have AT rifles on the first three tiers to fight against armoured vehicles with. On subsequent tiers, they are armed with lend-lease rocket launchers.

UI changes.
When hovering over or upgrading a unit, real performance characteristics are displayed, along with any changes to in-game stats that are directly related to them.

Fortification management.
We have added an option to manage your fortifications in Active Defence mode and select targets for them to attack.

Moving backwards.
The odd game logic where a vehicle seemed to choose on its own which side would face in the proper direction when moving to a specified point has been replaced by manual controls. Now you have a corresponding key (B by default) on the command panel to move backwards. You can also move a tank backwards by holding the CTRL key and right-clicking on the target location. When you send a vehicle the normal way, it will always move forward.
