Players will now be able to compare both the objects they find in space and the objects they examine for purchase in the market with the equipment used on the mothership and fighters.
Since both the mothership and the fighters have a lot of equipment installed on them, we didn't want to create an extra challenging mechanism for the player to choose which equipment they want to compare.
In the comparison system, whichever object the player is examining, the characteristics of the “same type” of objects installed on the ship will automatically appear on the screen.
Enemy information card
An informational card about the enemy ship will now appear on the tactical map when the player hovers the cursor over enemy ships. This card will show the enemy's:
- Type
- Level
- HP
- Speed
- Threat factor
- Firepower
Also, with next update, you will see the bounties for eliminate that enemy. Yes, we are preparing the bounty system for enemies, it will be active in the next update.
This information card will also show which friendly ship the enemy ship is targeting. This way, when you want to come to the aid of friendly ships in distress, you will be able to more quickly determine which enemy ships you should attack first.
For example, when a fighter ship with a very low HP and its pilot asks for help, you can target the enemy ships targeting it with your other fighter ships, turrets and mother ship missiles to relieve your pilot and buy time until it returns to the mothership.
What is the difference between Threat Factor and Firepower?
The value you see with the sword symbol on the information card is the “Threat Factor” of the enemy ship, while the bullet symbol just below it indicates its Firepower.
Firepower indicates the potential damage that the enemy ship's weapons will inflict on the player when firing at the player. For example, if this value is 10, the enemy ship has the potential to deal 10 points of damage to you. However, this value may vary depending on the pilot's defense skills, the skills of your officers, and the defense equipment you use on the mother ship. This damage can take values of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, etc. every time the enemy fires and scores a hit. In other words, the enemy's damage to you depends on the enemy's firepower and your defensive capabilities.
Threat Factor is a value that helps both the player (you) and the AI fighter pilots make tactical decisions when choosing targets. It is calculated based on the enemy ship's HP, Level, firepower, speed and type.
Enemy ships with a high Threat Factor can be much more dangerous, meaning they can be very formidable opponents. They can inflict heavy damage on you during combat. These values, calculated and reported by your Tactical Officer on the mothership, in a sense help all friendly units on the battlefield to select targets and determine combat tactics.
