The app has been updated to version 2.1.0.
Thank you for using VRHandsFrame!
This update significantly enhances GIF recording, improves usability, and renews the built-in translation engines.
Capture & GIF Recording
- Frame Tracking During Recording — choose what the frame follows (Both Hands / One Hand / HMD) Selecting HMD keeps the frame fixed in your view, letting you use both hands freely while recording.
- Recording Stabilization (default ON) Reduces small shakes of the frame and the recorded video during GIF recording.
- Record Until Max Duration (default OFF) The recording can no longer be stopped by the trigger, preventing game actions from accidentally ending it. Works great with HMD tracking.
- Record as WebP (experimental, default OFF) Saves animations in WebP format instead of GIF — smaller files with better quality.
- Captured Image Format — choose PNG / JPG for captured images

Usability
- One-Handed Panel Operation (default ON) Move the cursor with the stick of the hand grabbing a panel. You can click the side panel by pressing the trigger while tilting the stick.
- Block Input to Background Apps (default ON) Blocks controller input from reaching the game while holding up a frame or operating a panel, preventing accidental in-game actions.
- Stick Input Dead Zone — now adjustable

Translation
- Translation Engine — renewed Choose from the new engines: Auto / Engine 1 (Quality) / Engine 2 (Speed) / Legacy Engine. With the default Auto, the best engine is used depending on the target language.

If You Have Customized Your Controller Bindings
This update adds new controller input actions.
If you have changed the SteamVR controller bindings for VRHandsFrame from the defaults, the new actions may remain unbound and the following features may not work:
- One-Handed Panel Operation (stick cursor)
- Frame scaling with the joystick
In that case, please reset the VRHandsFrame bindings to default in the SteamVR controller settings, or manually bind the new actions (Stick / Stick Click / Scale Frame).
Notice of Revisions to the License Agreement and Privacy Policy
We have revised the VRHandsFrame Software License Agreement and Privacy Policy. The main changes are as follows.
- Added services to the data storage list Added "Cerebras" and "OpenAI" to the list of services that acquire, process, and store personal data in Section 6 of the Privacy Policy ("Data Security and Storage").
- Changed the term "trimmed image" to "captured image" The term referring to images captured with this app has been changed to "captured image", and its definition has been added to the Privacy Policy. There is no substantive change to the scope of the data covered.
- Other corrections Clarified wording (such as the conditions for deleting captured images and section headings), fixed translation inconsistencies between the Japanese version (the authoritative text) and the English version, and unified terminology across both languages. These changes do not affect the substance of the terms.
The full revised texts are available on the store page.
