As the essential successor to the original 90s cartoon, Toxic Crusaders pulls on its origins to bring fans of the original show–and newcomers–a taste of some elements that stood out from the show!
1. Yvonne’s Singing!
No doubt Yvonne is a talented singer–always lifting the spirits of the team throughout the original cartoon and celebrating with them after a well-fought victory! We just had to include her singing in some capacity in the game, so we decided to make her unquestionable talent her special attack!
2. Apocalypse Attackcopters!
Dr. Killemoff and his Radiation Rangers descend upon Tromaville in their Apocalypse Attackcopters! Inspired by several scenes in the cartoon, we thought it would be neat to bring back these Smogulan flying machines of...smog! Don't miss them in the opening cutscene of the demo!
3. ACHOO!
Nozone was a huge sneezer back in the original cartoon, so why should he be any different in the game? His all-too-familiar sneezes sent Dr. Killemoff and his Radiation Rangers soaring into the air in cartoon, but now we've contained his sneezes into an AOE attack that can knock down enemies surrounding the former ace pilot!
4. Home is Where the Junkyard Is!
In the last section of the demo, vigilant players will be able to spot the tattered makeshift home of the Toxic Crusaders in the background! From its humble beginnings when Toxie founded the team with Nozone and Major Disaster, to its current state in the demo, any fan of the 90s cartoon should easily notice the HQ of the Toxic Crusaders!
5. It's Shape Up (Clean Up) Time!
Like Yvonne's talent for singing, Toxie's (fully decided upon) catchphrase had to make it into the game (certainly in one form or another!). After deciding on this back in the original cartoon, Toxie's catchphrase can once again be appreciated by fans and newcomers alike!
