The most common unit in the Smogulan army takes center stage in this week’s Likeness to the Figures comparison! Check out the similarities (and differences) between this enemy’s in-game sprite and its classic action figure!

1. “Radiation Rangers, Front and Center!”
So, right off the bat, one of the striking differences between the original figure and its in-game counterpart is the lack of a chest unit on the latter! While the figure has this green, blue, and orange chest unit (likely for breathing in only SMOG!), the in-game Radiation Rangers have been outfitted with updated suits allowing for greater mobility (and so we can see that HUGE radiation icon!). Plus, we tossed out the orange goggles for sweet purple ones!

2. Orange into Blue!
It should go without saying that the in-game sprite for the Rad Rangers have a noticeable lack of orange in their design! We wanted to keep their color scheme simple and easily identifiable, so players could easily denote these common units on the battlefield! You might also notice the radiation icons on the sides of the shoulders are also lacking any orange on the in-game sprite. Oh, and we ditched the orange strap running down the upper arm, too!

3. What Are THOOOOSE!?
You’ll also notice we swapped out those toxic-radiation-sprinkled boots with a sleeker pair sporting a blue color scheme! And, for what it’s worth, the gloves also share a similar pale purple tint! Just because they’re the enemy doesn’t mean they can’t look stylish when they get their butts kicked!

You can test your might against Dr. Killemoff’s army of Radiation Rangers now in the Toxic Crusaders demo!
