Characters
General
Most attacks deal DMG with a 20% variance. In the lategame, this can lead to an enormous amount of additional DMG dealt to the player without any counterplay. To reduce frustration, variance is being lowered significantly. This applies to both party members as well as enemies.
Reduced DMG variance of relevant attacks
Old: 20% DMG variance
New: 5% DMG variance
Updated the graphical effects that indicate the effects of Encouraged, Enraged and Fearless
The acting party member now is marked by a pulsating outline
Player
Changed DMG variance of Mark Exilium
Old: 0% DMG variance
New: 5% DMG variance
Marlon
While under the effect of Limit Break, Marlon now shines with a faint pulsating hue
Reiketsu
Reiketsu’s excessively high evasion gives her too much survivability in the earlygame. To balance her growth, Shadow Cloak now grants considerably less evasion.
Decreased the effect of Shadow Cloak:
Old: +30% evasion & +10% AP regen
New: +20% evasion & +10% AP regen
Anna
Changed DMG variance of Blood Explosion
Old: 0% DMG variance
New: 5% DMG variance
ShirA.I.
ShirA.I. has the ability to provoke every enemy on the field while boosting her defenses. However, this defensive boost does not scale with her stats, making it difficult for her to survive aggro of multiple enemies in the lategame. To make her more tanky in such situations, Commercial Break now instead grants her a shield scaling with the number of enemies and her max HP.
Changed the effect of Commercial Break:
Old: Inflict Provoked on every enemy, decrease ShirA.I.'s DMG taken by 25% for 1 turn and she goes off-air.
New: Inflict Provoked on all enemies, gain a 4/6/8/10/12% max HP stackable Matrix Shield per target, then go off-air.
Sylfie
Sylfie can feel a bit stiff to play in the lategame as 3 energy charges become relatively easy to acquire. This limits the number of abilities she can use. To make her feel more dynamic to play, she now can carry up to 4 energy charges. Additionally, Overvoltage now applies Enraged if at 4 stacks.
Changed the effect of Circuit Snach:
Old: Reduce one ally's AP by 2 and gain an energy charge. [max 3]
New: Reduce one ally's AP by 2 and gain an energy charge. [max 4]
Changed the effect of Overvoltage:
Old: Increase readiness of one ally but Sylfie by 25% times the amount of energy charges Sylfie has, before resetting them.
New: Increase readiness of one ally but Sylfie by 25% times the amount of energy charges Sylfie has, before resetting them. If at 4 stacks, apply Enraged to the target.
Changed the effect of Energy Charge:
Old: 15/30/45% chance to inflict Shocked on enemies attacking this unit, depending on the amount of energy charges owned. [max 3]
New: 20/30/40/50% chance to inflict Shocked on enemies attacking this unit, depending on the amount of energy charges owned. [max 4]
Enemies
Added new boss-type enemy: Queen of Vampires, Alice
Added new boss-type enemey: King Consort
Reduced DMG variance of relevant attacks
Old: 20% DMG variance
New: 5% DMG variance
Increased DMG variance of special abilities of boss-type enemies
Old: 0% DMG variance

Status Effects
Matrix and Counter Shield are proving too easy to maintain continuously. To have players choose more carefully how and when to utilize abilities granting shields, they now expire after 2 turns.
Adjusted duration of Matrix Shield
Old: No expiration
New: 2 turns
Adjusted duration of Counter Shield
Old: No expiration
New: 2 turns
Items
The ability to use items without taking up a turn action is proving too potent even with the reduction of their carriable quantity. To further balance item usage, the consumption of items now costs 1AP across the board.
Using items now costs 1AP
Added multiple new socket pieces:
HP/VAMPIRE: Recover 5/7/10% of DMG dealt in HP. Socket effect does not stack.
ATK/Ogre: +6/9/12 ATK
DEF/Wall: +15/20/25 DEF
HP/Angel: +50/75/100 HP
SPD/Racer: +2/3/4 SPD
