With the arrival of Late Check-Out, the hotel has undergone a series of renovations and adjustments. Some are for your comfort. Others… are not.
Gameplay & Balance Updates
Added new content and supporting elements alongside the DLC
Introduced new player statuses: Metallic, Spirit, and Spongy
Newcomer difficulty has been rebalanced:
Fewer environmental damage hazards
Simplified boss attack patterns for a smoother introduction
Professional and Slasher difficulties have been tuned up with stronger enemies
Player starting direction now better aligns with stage progression
Improved visibility on certain environmental hazards with new visual effects
Chainsaw enemies:
Movement speed adjusted
Easier to follow up attacks after knocking them down
Tomatoes and piranhas now linger briefly off-screen before dying (instead of disappearing instantly)
Added two new skills to the skill tree:
Berserker March
Psycho Trencher
Adjusted placement of certain enemy groups for better flow
Fixes & Improvements
Fixed multiple localization, UI, and in-game text issues
Ayako boss fight: resolved an issue where Carnival Awakening wouldn’t trigger correctly
Fixed enemies occasionally failing to detect the player at close range
Bonus Stage: resolved an issue where coins and chests could respawn incorrectly
Fixed a rare issue where players could get stuck when retrying the Zill boss fight
Escape stage: removed unintended progression routes
Nigel boss fight: fixed collision issues that could cause players to fall out of the map
Corrected inconsistencies in Splatter Gauge gain for certain weapons
Fixed dodge cancel issue that could temporarily prevent re-dodging
Corrected inaccurate skill descriptions
Fixed incorrect voice-over assignments in some dialogue
Wendigos now properly reward blood splatter on defeat
Fixed an issue where parried arrows could fly in the wrong direction
