Development Report #2

Summary

As we gear up to our steam release early next year, we have been busy adding more and more content into the game, check out the features of Entropy update below.

Update 1.3

New Bosses and Enemy Variants

In this update we added 3 new bosses and 6 new enemy variants.

New Cores

In Shoulders of Giants cores are armor sets with powerful passive or active abilities. In this update we've added 4 more, bringing the current total up to 17. To call out a few in this update we've added a Paladin core which heals allies and deals light damage to foes. There is also the Shogun core which when attacked summons a magical sword that parries attacks.

New Abilities

We've added 12 new fresh abilities. To call out a few there is the rewind ability which as you guessed it, lets you rewind, restoring any health lost and warping you to a previous position in the past. Additionally there is the RC Bomb ability which summons an explosive RC Car which you can steer towards enemies to do massive explosion damage.

New Planet Mod

Fans of Tony Hawk will appreciate our newest planet mod, Grind Rails, which places grindable rails all over planets.

New Shrine Catalyst

Added a powerful new healing Shrine.

Various UI Improvements

Loads of UI improvements, including a improved end of run stat screen, brand new reworked core icons and more.

Enemy Spawning Optimizations

Optimization's to our spawning code which helps provide a smoother gameplay experience at high heat levels.

And More!

  • Gamepad players no longer have shortcuts on the in-game ability assignment menu (i.e. hitting B to assign a picked up ability to your B ability slot). This can be re-enabled in the options menu.
  • Various performance optimizations
  • Various bug fixes, including several crash bugs
  • Full refresh of force feedback for gamepad players
  • Better sound attenuations
