Survivors, Let’s Talk
We The People is an ambitious game being built by a small independent team. That means plans will evolve, systems will change, and some answers will become clearer as development progresses.
Rather than pretend every decision has already been made, we want to be direct about where the project stands, what we are working toward, and what you can expect from us.
Who is behind We The People?
We are Small Indie Company, the independent studio developing We The People.
Our team brings together developers from professional game development, independent projects, and modding communities. We are united by a shared interest in grounded worlds, high-stakes multiplayer experiences, and games where every decision carries weight.
As a studio, we do not believe it is our job to preach to you or tell you what to think.
We want our games to respect your time, your intelligence, while also challenging you from both a gameplay and lore perspective.
When you enter one of our worlds, we want you to feel like you are there to play, explore, survive, compete, cooperate, and escape the distractions waiting outside.
What kind of game is it?
We The People is a multiplayer tactical zombie shooter set in a devastated Pacific Northwest. The intention is for the world itself to be the main character, with Players existing-and often times fighting to survive-within it. Players will choose between creating a PvE or PvP Character, and join servers appropriate to their choice.
Survivors leave the safety of their settlement HQ, enter dangerous raid zones, search for supplies, complete objectives, fight infected and hostile factions, along with rival survivors and attempt to extract with everything they have recovered.
The experience is built around preparation, risk, survival, and extraction. What you carry into a raid matters. What you recover matters. Whether you make it home matters most.
Outside of raids, players will return to a persistent settlement where they can regroup, manage equipment, interact with others, prepare for future operations, and continue building their place in the world.
Playtests when?
Testing is currently handled through limited sessions organized around specific development needs.
Some tests may focus on networking. Others may evaluate combat, extraction flow, progression, performance, or newly introduced systems. Because of that, access may be limited by availability, hardware, region, experience, or the type of feedback we need.
The best way to be considered is to join our Discord, follow development announcements, and be ready when testing opportunities are posted.
We are not yet at the stage where every test can be opened to the entire community. As the game becomes more stable and our infrastructure expands, we plan to invite larger groups of players to join us in the settlement.
What platforms are planned?
We The People is currently being developed for PC, with Consoles planned at a future date.
How much will it cost?
TBA. But, what we can say is that we’ll have various Bundles to choose from-akin to what you’d find in similar titles within our genre.
Which languages will be supported?
English
French
Italian
German
Spanish - Spain
Spanish - Latin America
Japanese
Korean
Polish
Portuguese - Brazil
Russian
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
We're actively looking at where the Player base is located to define and expand this list, if you want your language to be supported please Wishlist the game.
Wipes?
Wipes are a foundational part of our core game experience. We intend to utilize Wipes as an opportunity to introduce new content, map expansions, and continue the Main Story of We The People.
What are you doing about cheaters?
Hackers are the death of fun, and ruin meaningful competitive play.
When players risk equipment, resources, and progression during every deployment, unfair play does more than ruin a single match. It undermines trust in the entire experience.
No developer can honestly guarantee that cheating will never happen. What we can guarantee is that we will treat it as an ongoing security problem rather than a one-time feature.
Our approach will include robust anti-cheat measures, including industry leading anti-cheat technology, server-authoritative systems, telemetry, reporting tools, investigation processes, account enforcement, and continued improvements as new vulnerabilities are discovered.
Protecting legitimate players will remain one of our highest priorities throughout development and after release.
Where can I follow development?
Our Discord and official community channels are the best places to follow development, participate in discussions, provide feedback, and hear about future testing opportunities.
