If you have been following The Kaiyo Mission on social media or on Steam for any period of time, you might know that one of the main characters of the game is an octopus named Raj. Similar to the octopi on Earth, Raj is highly intelligent, can match the colours and texture of its surroundings to hide – even in plain sight, and uses colours and gestures to communicate. In fact, in The Kaiyo Mission compendium, you can read what Abby, one of the scientists of the mission, has been observing about them: ‘A species remarkably similar to octopuses on Earth, but which uses its ability to change the colours and texture of its skin not primarily for dynamic camouflage, warnings or mating, but for communication of contextual, emotional information by means of moving, bioluminescent patterns on their skin.’
You can learn more about Raj, and its companions by playing the free demo of The Kaiyo Mission available on Steam or read The Kaiyo Mission-Enceladus and The Kaiyo Mission-Europa…🐙
