Dear Fighter Pilots, Partners and Friends,
The DCS: F-15C Eagle continues to take shape. This week we're sharing a fresh set of work-in-progress images, from the front instrument panel and canopy to the speed brake and the wiring packed into the equipment bay behind the pilot's seat. Take a look below.
In a close air support aircraft, the damage you take is part of the story. We're showing the new damage states coming to the Su-25A Frogfoot, from shrapnel holes and torn panels to an airframe that comes apart piece by piece. Check out the state of play hereafter.
The DCS REFORGER Joint Training Server opens on September 26th, giving NATO and Warsaw Pact milsim squadrons and controllers a Cold War training ground over Germany, built on historical airspace charts. Squadrons interested in the next Air Live Exercise on October 31st can contact us now. Learn more below.
Thank you for your passion and support.
Yours sincerely,
Eagle Dynamics
DCS: F-15C Development Report
3D Model Progress

Earlier this year, the DCS: F-15C completed its design phase and moved into full development. Back in May, we showed you how photogrammetry and laser scanning are being used to build the aircraft, with thousands of high-resolution reference images processed into detailed 3D data and laser scans capturing the hardest-to-reproduce areas, like the exhaust mechanisms and intake geometry.

This week, we're taking you inside the work. In the cockpit, the front instrument panel is coming together, from the UHF radio and HUD control panels down to the engine, fuel and hydraulic gauges, with the side consoles being built up alongside it. The canopy has received the same attention, right down to its latching hooks, safety pin and lanyard, and the grab handles on the frame.

Outside, the airframe is taking shape one panel line at a time, from the vertical tails and stabilators to the underside of the fuselage. Look closer, and you'll find the details few pilots ever see: the speed brake, its actuator and hydraulic lines in their well, and the equipment bay behind the pilot's seat, packed with wiring harnesses, connectors and electrical components. Open the canopy, and that bay should be right there.
These are work-in-progress images, and many of the models shown aren't textured yet. Plenty of work remains, and we'll keep sharing progress as the DCS: F-15C comes together.
Su-25A Development Report
Damage States in progress

Close air support is close work. The Su-25A Frogfoot spends its time low over the front line, well inside the reach of ground fire, and for its pilot, taking hits comes with the job. Seeing that damage on your own aircraft is a big part of what makes those missions feel real.
In July, we shared the new external model and cockpit being built for the Su-25A Frogfoot. This week, we're turning to the damage states. Enhanced damage modelling was part of the plan from the day we first announced the new Su-25, and these work-in-progress images show how that damage now appears on the new model.

Hits tear through the airframe. Shrapnel holes pepper the fuselage, torn skin peels back to expose the frames and structure underneath, and severed wiring spills out of the damaged sections. At the rear, the engine nacelles can be ripped open to reveal the engines inside. And when the damage becomes too much, the aircraft comes apart, with the wings and tail breaking away as separate pieces, pylons and weapons still attached.
Work on the Su-25A Frogfoot continues, and we'll keep sharing progress along the way.
DCS REFORGER Joint Training Server
Community Highlight

DCS REFORGER is launching the DCS REFORGER Joint Training Server, a realistic Cold War training environment for NATO and Warsaw Pact milsim squadrons, as well as air traffic and tactical controllers. The server opens on September 26th, 2026, and anyone interested in the next DCS REFORGER Air Live Exercise on October 31st, 2026, at 1700Z is invited to contact the admin team.
What is DCS REFORGER?
DCS REFORGER is a community environment for pilots who want to simulate the air operations of Cold War combat pilots. Its main purpose is to share the experience and know-how of its many participating milsim squadrons, raising the level of the DCS community as a whole.
It takes place on the DCS: Cold War Germany map, with the 1970s airspace structure recreated as accurately as possible. The mission template used on the Joint Training Server and at exercise events is based on CAO VFR Charts in 1:500 000 scale from 1976 and 1977, covering both East and West Germany. It includes historical airspaces, air-to-air and air-to-ground training areas, day and night low-flying routes, aerial refuelling areas and more.
The Joint Training Server
The Joint Training Server is open 24/7 to pilots, squadrons and controllers, with onboarding through the DCS REFORGER admin team starting September 26th. Host squadrons JaboG35 and vLwKdo 34 do all their training there, and participants work up to their next exercise.
The Joint Training Center Handbook explains everything needed to get started. Pilots who want to fly from time to time can use the dynamic spawns at Ramstein AB, while squadrons looking for a permanent presence can contact the admin team to choose a home base and have their template aircraft added to the mission file.
Air Live Exercises
The exercise events are open to invited squadrons and controllers, with large-scale missions of up to 100 players, including dedicated aggressor pilots and special controller positions. The planning cycle allows for one exercise roughly every three to four months.
Squadrons are selected and invited after an initial introduction, and aircrew must be mission-qualified in their own squadron and able to perform all procedures in the DCS REFORGER SOPs. Select mods add to the experience and training value, and each event includes a livery pack, installed with a mod manager, that is required to participate.
Why REFORGER?
REFORGER (Return of Forces to Germany) was an annual NATO exercise held from 1969 to 1993 that tested how quickly US forces could reinforce West Germany in the event of war with the Warsaw Pact. DCS REFORGER doesn't recreate a REFORGER exercise in every detail. Instead, it uses the 1969 to 1993 time span as its setting, which covers almost every use case of the modules available in DCS, from DCS: F-5E to DCS: F-4E and even DCS: F-16C. More will be added as the training missions are fleshed out.
Get Involved
We post after-action reports from every exercise on the DCS Forum, and we created the DCS REFORGER website in cooperation with Red Flag EU.
If your squadron flies the Cold War, or you're an air traffic or tactical controller looking for an immersive setting, join the DCS REFORGER Discord and contact the admin team.
Thank you again for your passion and support.
Yours sincerely,
Eagle Dynamics
