Hey everyone! This latest patch brings a few changes to the You Fall You Die mode (Permadeath), as well as a couple of new achievements for the particularly skilled climbers. There's also a few other updates which can be found at the bottom of this post.
Hardcore Free Solo Achievements
You Fall You Die Mode (Permadeath) has been reworked a little to exclude cabin encounters. You will still unlock tools as you progress normally.
- There are now 7 new hardcore achievements to unlock in You Fall You Die Mode for Category 3 and 4. These achievements can only be unlocked while using no ropes on these particular maps.
- Any used ropes on either of these peaks will disqualify you from getting it. You can restart the maps to try again if you used a rope.
- Bivouac on Solemn Tempest is allowed for this, but ropes are not.
- Ropes used before quitting out with the Bivouac on Solemn Tempest will count, so you can't cheese it.
Other Updates
- Detaching anchors should be a bit easier now. Detaching from ropes should be more consistent as well.
- Iceaxes are no longer allowed on Category 2 Boulders.
- Cromlech and Old Weald's Boulder have been tweaked slightly.
Bugfixes
- Fixed some issues with the Bivouac.
- Minor visual fixes on Ymir's Shadow.
