We are livestreaming today, Saturday August 8th, at 3:00 pm EST with the new Operator mod, a hardcore slow paced tactical shooter total conversion mod for Insurgency. You can tune in to the livestream here.
Our guest today will be the founder of the mod, Mike Smith also known as eXnihilo, who is also one of the developers for Insurgency. eXnihilo has been working with various members of Insurgency’s community to create Operator, a whole new slow paced tactical take on Insurgency. Operator has just entered its Alpha stage, but already has features like unique game modes, unique maps, new weapons, weapon customization to an extreme, new tactical gear, new tactical beards, slowed movement, no friendly teammate indicators, totally redesigned weapon ballistics, and more. Be sure to join the official Operator Steam group to stay up to date on development and give feedback during the mod’s current Alpha stage.
We’ll be playing Operator’s PvP and coop modes in stream. If you’re interested in trying Operator and joining us, head over to the Operator page on the Steam Workshop. Follow the instructions there to install. Keep in mind, you need to download the version off of ModDB as well as subscribe to the Workshop item for updates. Operator is a separately installed mod, and will not conflict with any of your other Workshop items or mods.
