It took me some time to work this out, but the official Dark Hours Steam Guides are back and fully updated! Since the last major update, new maps have been added and the old guides were no longer up to date. That’s now fixed. If you're struggling to find key items, these guides are here to help you out.

How it works
Each guide shows you the locations of all key items for every map seed. Just check your map seed number (visible in the top-right corner of your screen) and look it up in the guide’s index to instantly know where to go.
⚠️ Reminder: these guides contain full details on all key item locations, which may spoil the exploration experience. If you prefer to discover the locations on your own, consider using them only as a last resort.
A few notes
Screenshots in the guides are for reference — items may appear elsewhere in the same room (e.g., inside a drawer instead of on a table).
If an item is missing even though the guide says it’s there, it might be a bug. Please let us know via:
