Kentaro Industries is a Japanese drone manufacturer known for their super effective melee weapons, namely — the Katana. Solomon Burgundy asked some of Kentaro’s top weapon smiths to set up facilities near his drone parts and weapon shop in Red Rock. The humble tradesmen began to terraform the area to create somewhat of a slice of home, however, this radical transformation of the landscape created a deadly hazard…
The island is located close to the starting point of the game. It’s an area that requires the right kind of explosive to unlock… (hint: take a look at our explosives blog!). The island is decorated with beautiful Sakura trees, reminiscent of Japanese Festivals in Spring. Here you’ll find picturesque settings with lanterns, buildings and unique draw bridges.
The floating islands created in the terraforming process make for an exceedingly difficult combat arena. You must consider not only your enemies but also the risk of falling into the unflyable depths below.
There are multiple upgrade locations that can be found amongst the Kentaro Islands. You can purchase a Katana from the local sword-smith, as well as find a damage-resistant Flak Jacket in the wreckage of a UTA tank. If you want to read more about perks, check out this article.
