Hey Everyone!
I would like to start with a massive THANK YOU to everyone that has supported me with On Dark Terms whether it be a Wishlist, purchase, give away, comment, review, etc, has been so incredibly patient with the game and continued to push through the very rough and overwhelming introduction experience!
As a gamer myself, I fully understand how frustrating it can be to be so excited to jump into a game that you’ve been pumped about to play, only to get in there and feel like you are just lost and will never figure out how to play and may even feel encouraged to stop. I have been watching and I have been working with a large list of all the things I can do to help address the new player experience the best that I possibly can so that more and more people can get in and enjoy the game for both casuals and for those who want a challenge.
I wanted to chart new waters with this game by pushing the limits and innovating the genre and I knew that it would be a lot of work and I knew that lots of people might be skeptical or unwilling to try something so new, and that’s ok.
The Players Matter
I wanted to let everyone know that I am working tirelessly as a solo dev and will continue to work hard on this as I am a perfectionist and very hard on myself and feel like I could do a much better job at creating the FUN that I wanted you all to have. In the end though, I need the community’s help to grow this and to update it, for what truly is an indie game without its community?
So, with that said, I will be releasing this very large update soon – I am currently performing testing on the update – and will have it out as fast as possible!
In addition, a lot you asked about discord and so I will be setting that up too immediately after the new update is released which I will post another announcement for so that everyone can see and hopefully join!
