Hello! We've been quietly working for a while on the backend, so we're back to the 17th again, to bring something we've worked on (and show we are in fact alive and kicking! Here's a video, go watch:
Now that you've seen the cutscene - it's recorded entirely in-engine and everything works as it should in a full game, no smoke and mirrors save for minor audio work (that we're figuring out in FMOD so that it's nicely dynamic) Featuring more of the main cast, interacting with each other, we've really enjoyed making that scene, and we hope that it can give you all a better idea of the atmosphere and themes of the game. It's been a doozy working out all the programming challenges, especially i think putting the camera on "rails" like this was a lot of fun (i haven't had to use this much math in a while in my life), but what the heck, now we have a bunch of working re-usable systems for the rest of the game so it was worth it.
So... What comes next? Definitely something more punchy, more action-centered, more... gamey. Lots of work went into the art and backend side of things lately, so now is the time to go straight to some action. You haven't seen how the battles in Ghost of Fall look since 2 years back, and some things have changed on that field - so now it's up to us to showcase that next! Until then..... Stay electrified
And of course, hope you're having a great evening, and see you closer to another demo next time!
